Each week our Fantasy Baseball experts will give fantasy owners their top choices for players to pick up for all leagues, as well as some players to consider in deeper leagues. If you have any Fantasy Baseball questions for our experts feel free to post them in post them in our Fantasy Sports Forum.

Add in all leagues

David Freese STL | 3B

Freese has been a nice surprise this season. So far he is batting for average and has shown a little bit of power. If you at all need a third basemen we say take a gamble on Freese. (about 40% owned)

John Buck TOR | C

With so many fantasy relevant catchers hurt right now, there are a lot of owners looking for a catcher. Buck has been playing really well over the last couple weeks and he could be a good temporary solution. (about 10% owned)

Austin Jackson DET | OF

We could not believe that Jackson was still available in 35% of leagues. He leads the league in hits and should be owned in all leagues at this point. We aren’t sure if he can keep it up but he is definitely worth an add. (about 65% owned)

Dexter Fowler COL | OF

Fowler isn’t going to bat for power and he might not even bat for that good of an average, but he could be a good role player. Fowler has good speed and we really like his upside, at the very least add him to your radar. (about 15% owned)

Jake Peavy CWS | SP

Peavy was drafted in almost all leagues, but he has been dropped by a lot of owners after his slow start. We think Peavy has a little left in the tank and he is worth a look if you need a starting pitcher. (about 85% owned)

Rich Harden TEX | SP

Harden got off to a slow start this season, but after a scoreless outing against Oakland his last time out it is time to put him back on your radar. When healthy Harden is still a good pitcher and we don’t think he is a bad gamble. (about 55% owned)

Sell High

Every year there are a decent amount of older players that haven’t had good seasons in a while that get off to good starts. Historically once players get to be about 33 years old or older, and they haven’t had a solid season in 2+ years, then they probably will never have another great season. This list of guys all fit within within this category, and we say trade them now before it is too late. You probably will not be able to get a lot of value for these guys, but we say you take what you can get before their production falls off.
Brad Penny, Livan Hernandez, Barry Zito, Paul Konerko, Jose Guillen, Vernon Wells, Alex Gonzalez Andrew Jones
