Each week our Fantasy Baseball experts will give fantasy owners their top choices for players to pick up for all leagues, as well as some players to consider in deeper leagues. If you have any Fantasy Baseball questions for our experts feel free to post them in post them in our Fantasy Sports Forum.
Add in all leagues
Street just came off the DL and it should only be a matter of time until he is the Rockies closer. We don’t expect a great ERA, but he should get a decent amount of save opportunities. (about 75% owned)
Qualls has been awful this year and it looks like he has finally lost his job. As of now, it looks like Heilman is going to be the man in the 9th for the Diamondbacks. We think you should also keep a close eye on Esmerling Vasquez, but if you are going to pick up anyone it should be Heilman. (about 25% owned)
We were high on Davis coming into this year, but he is just now starting to put up numbers. In the last month he is batting over .300 with 11 SB’s. We think he is a must add if you are looking for speed. (about 60% owned)
Coghlan has raised his average about .65 points in the last month. It looks like he is back to being the same player he was at the end of last year. Coghlan should have value for the rest of the season, and he has the potential of batting for a great average. (about 55% owned)
Borbon could be the hottest player in baseball right now. He is batting .380 in his last 79 AB’s and he has brought his average all the way up to 294. In our opinion Borbon should almost be universally owned, get him now. (about 35% owned)
It looks like this is the year that Young has his break out season. He has been playing great lately, and we think this good play could continue. Young has been on fire in the last month and should be picked up in all leagues. (about 40% owned)
In our opinion Montero is easily a top 5 catcher and he should be owned in all leagues. He has a huge upside and the potential to bat for a good average. Even if you already have a good catcher Montero will give you instant trade value. (about 60% owned)
The old man might not be done yet. Huff had a big year in ’08 but he really struggled last year. We aren’t saying he is a must add but with dual position eligibility he could be a nice addition to any fantasy team. (about 55% owned)
