Each week during the NFL season FST brings you our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups, which breaks down players available in many leagues that could have an immediate impact on your fantasy roster, or simply just players to keep on your radar. Let’s take a look at some of the hottest pickups at each position heading into Week 7 of the NFL season. If you have any waiver wire questions, feel free to post them in our Fantasy Football Forum.

Quarterbacks

Nick Foles PHI | QB

It looks like we might have a QB controversy in Philly and it’s possible that Vick has started his last game for the Eagles. Foles has been waiting his turn for awhile now and he took full advantage of his opportunity week 6 against the Buccaneers. My guess is that Foles will get at least 1 more start and as long as he continues to play well, then I see no reason for the Eagles to go back to Vick. (about 15% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Running Backs

Zac Stacy STL | RB

I can’t believe that Stacy is still available in over half of all leagues, considering he is the starting running back. He might not be the most exciting pickup, but he is getting a healthy percentage of the touches for the Rams and he has outplayed all of the other tailbacks on that team. Stacy has done enough to hold onto his starting job and he needs to be owned in all leagues moving forward. (about 40% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Andre Ellington ARI | RB

I have had Ellington on my waiver wire list for about 4 weeks now and I am shocked with how many leagues he is still available in. The Cardinals are going to have a committee backfield, but Ellington is clearly the more exciting and explosive running back out of the two. Look for Ellington’s role to continue to grow as the year goes on and I think he could be a top 15 running back if Mendenhall were to go down with injury. (about 40% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Brandon Jacobs NYG | RB

Jacobs turned back the clock week 6 and ran all over the Bears. The old man ran for over 100 yards and he found the end zone 2 times. Depending on the news that we get about David Wilson this could make Jacobs a must add in all leagues, but at the very least he is worth adding in deeper leagues. As long as he is healthy he is the Giants best option at running back and if he can continue the play like he did against the Bears he could have solid value for the rest of the season. (about 25% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Joseph Randle DAL | RB

The fragile DeMarco Murray was injured week 6 and and they have already announced that he probably will not play week 7. There is a good chance that Murray will miss 2-4 weeks and my money is on Randle being the guy that will have the most value in his absence. There is a decent chance that Lance Dunbar will factor in as well, but all early signs are pointing to Randle being the guy to own. Randle didn’t look great in relief for Murray week 6, although they were just trying to run some clock, so don’t look too much into his 1.5 yards per carry average. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Khiry Robinson NO | RB

The undrafted rookie out of West Texas A&M is starting to make some noise for the Saints and I think he is worth keeping an eye on. I wouldn’t add him just yet unless you are in a really deep league, but he is starting to get enough touches on that offense to make him fantasy relevant. He is averaging over 5 yards per carry and if Thomas were to go down with injury then this youngster could have some solid fantasy value. Even once Ingram comes back I am not convinced that they will take many touches away from Robinson. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Keep an eye on

Chris Ogbonnaya CLE | RB

We learned something week 6 about the Browns running game, that being that McGahee isn’t going to be much of a factor in the passing game. McGahee still lead the team with rushing attempts, but Ogbonnaya let all Browns running backs with total touches. He hauled in 7 catches for 61 yards and he scored a touchdown on one of those receptions. This is another backfield that is turning into a nasty timeshare, however I think Ogbonnaya is a guy that you should consider adding in deeper PPR leagues. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper PPR leagues

Wide Receivers

Rueben Randle NYG | WR

Randle had another solid game week 6 and with reports that the Giants would listen to trades for Nicks, I think that is a sign that the Giants want to see Randle on the field. I talked about Randle last week and how it only makes sense that the 0-6 Giants would turn more to their younger players. Even if Nicks ends up staying in New York I still think Randle will play a big role. (about 55% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Keenan Allen SD | WR

Allen is clearly turning into one of Rivers favorite targets and I love his upside moving forward. At this point I think he is a must add in all leagues on that now high powered Chargers offense. Allen has shown us something over the last few weeks and I expect him to continue to be the #1 receiver for San Diego for the rest of the season. (about 35% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Percy Harvin SEA | WR

I don’t think Harvin will be back until closer to Thanksgiving, but I think it’s time to pick him up and wait him out if you are towards the top of your rankings. The Seattle offense has a ton of weapons and a healthy Harvin would be a nice addition to that already solid team. We all know what he can do when he is healthy so take a look at your record and your bench and see if it makes sense for you to pick him up. (about 45% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Brandon LaFell CAR | WR

LaFell is quietly having a solid season and he continues to get a lot of targets from Newton each week. He has had at least 4 targets each game and he has already found the end zone 3 times on the young season. It’s possible that the 4th year receiver is putting together a breakout year and I think he needs to be added in a lot more leagues. (about 15% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Harry Douglas ATL | WR

With Julio Jones done for the year and Roddy White still banged up, this could open the door for Douglas to have short term value. Douglas has had chances to start in the past and he hasn’t been that great, so keep that in mind when you are deciding if you want to pick him up. He does have an upside but at this point in his career I think it’s clear that his upside is limited. That doesn’t mean though that he can’t help you get through your bye weeks as a decent spot start if needed. (about 40% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Jarrett Boykin GB | WR

The latest reports on Cobb aren’t very encouraging and someone is going to have to pickup the slack. I feel for the most part it will be James Jones and Jordy Nelson that will get more targets, but I think Boykin could factor in as well. I am not ready to call him a must add in deeper leagues, however depending on the reports this week he could be a guy that is worth adding. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Keep an eye on

Individual Defensive Players

DeMeco Ryans PHI | LB

Ryans came into the league back in 2006 and it looked like he was going to be one of the best IDP players for many years to come. His rookie season though was his best fantasy year and he has only had decent years since then. However, the new look Eagles team is putting Ryans back on the fantasy map. He is on pace for one of the best statistical years of his career and I think it’s time to think about picking up this linebacker in all IDP leagues. (about 20% owned)
Recommendation: Keep an eye on

Defense/Special Teams

Minnesota MIN | DEF

Even though the Giants offense looked decent at times against the Bears week 6, they still gave up a pick 6 and a couple other turnovers. Until Eli proves that he can take better care of the ball you should consider picking up the defense that they play each week. Week 7 the Vikings defense gets their turn to play the Giants and I like their chances as a pickup and play. (about 40% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play
