Each week during the NFL season FST brings you our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups, which breaks down players available in many leagues that could have an immediate impact on your fantasy roster, or simply just players to keep on your radar. Let’s take a look at some players at each position that might be worthy of scooping off the waiver wire heading into Week 12 of the NFL season. If you have any waiver wire questions, feel free to post them in our Fantasy Football Forum.

Running Backs

Ronnie Hillman DEN | RB

McGahee is done for the rest of the fantasy season, so this makes Hillman an interesting add. He has only been ok this year, but he has a golden opportunity to show the world what he can do. The Broncos have a pretty decent fantasy schedule, so I would recommend using the #1 waiver on him if you got it. (about 20% owned)
Recommendation: Add in all leagues

James Starks GB | RB

Starks was the lead guy for the Packers week 11, and while he didn’t play great you have to love that he had 26 touches. Green had every chance to lock up that starting job and didn’t take advantage, so Starks’ job should be safe for now. He isn’t that exciting of a fantasy option, but he is the starting running back on a great offense so he should be owned in all leagues. (about 25% owned)
Recommendation: Add in all leagues

Marcel Reece OAK | RB

I am not convinced that McFadden or Goodson will be back next week, and this could open the door for Reece to see a lot of touches again. Since taking over as the lead back Reece has been amazing, and I think he is pretty much a must start in PPR leagues. We are officially through the bye weeks so you probably aren’t dying for a running back, but the upside of Reece is hard to pass up on if he remains the lead guy. (about 70% owned)
Recommendation: Add in all leagues

Bryce Brown PHI | RB

The rookie out of Kansas State got a chance to show us what he can do week 11, and he didn’t disappoint. He didn’t get a ton of touches, but he averaged 7 yards per carry. McCoy had a pretty nasty concision so I expect Brown to get a chance to start against against the Panthers. The Eagles season is over, so I see no reason why they should rush McCoy back from injury. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Add in deeper leagues

Jalen Parmele JAC | RB

The Jaguars surprised a lot of people with starting Parmele over Jennings, and while he didn’t play amazing he did ok. They have already said that he will be the man for them against the Titans, so he could have decent short term value. The Jags play Tennessee and then Buffalo, so he has a solid chance of putting up numbers the next two weeks. If you need a guy for the short term I don’t mind using a good waiver number on Parmele, but let’s not forget that MJD should be back at some point. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Add in deeper leagues

Wide Recievers

Danario Alexander SD | WR

Alexander turned in this third solid game in a row week 11 agains the Broncos, and at this point I am a believer. I had him on this list last week as well, but I wasn’t completely sold that he should be owned in all leagues. At this point though I think he is a great add if you need help a receiver, and I could easily see him taking over has the #1 fantasy receiver on that offense. (about 25% owned)
Recommendation: Add in all leagues

Justin Blackmon JAC | WR

After a really slow start Blackmon has started to get things going. He had a monster game week 11 and it looks like having Henne take over at quarterback was the best thing that could have happened for that offense. The Jags have an easy schedule coming up, so look for their success to continue. Blackmon is an extremely talented receiver, and if Henne were smart he would just keep throwing him the rock. (about 25% owned)
Recommendation: Add in deeper leagues

Pierre Garcon WAS | WR

Garcon didn’t do much his first game back from injury, but the potential is certainly there. The Redskins offense has been somewhat inconsistent this year, but getting Garcon back should help their passing game. I am expecting him to be inconsistent, but Garcon should have some big games. The problem with Garcon is guessing right and starting him when he has one of his good games. (about 55% owned)
Recommendation: Add in deeper leagues

Cecil Shorts JAC | WR

Shorts has been the only fantasy player for the Jags that has put up consistent numbers, and he had another solid game week 11. It’s hard to trust a Jacksonville offensive player, but with Henne at QB it looks like that offense has come alive. Shorts is a solid add if you at all need help at the receiver position. (about 50% owned)
Recommendation: Add in deeper leagues

Tight Ends

Brandon Myers OAK | TE

Myers continues to impress, but he is still not getting any love in the fantasy world. There are going to be a lot of teams looking for a tight end after the Gronk injury, and I think Myers is well worth a look. He has been one of the most consistent tight ends in the league, and he has decent match-ups down the stretch. (about 40% owned)
Recommendation: Add in all leagues

Quarterbacks

Chad Henne JAC | QB

Henne was amazing after coming in for the injured Gabbert, and they have already named him the week 12 starter. Henne woke up that offense when he came in, and now he has two great match-ups coming up. If you are in a really deep league or a two quarterback league then I think Henne could be a great short term solution. I also see this an an audition for Henne, if he continues to play well then Gabbert could be out of a job. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Add in deeper leagues

Team Defenses

Arizona ARI | DEF

The Arizona defense was one of the biggest surprises week 11, holding the Falcons offense to 16 points and picking off Ryan 5 times. They play the Rams week 12 and while I really doubt they will force as many turnovers, they should have some success. I think they are a great pickup and play this week. (about 40% owned)
Recommendation: Pickup and play

Individual Defensive Players

Devin McCourty NE | CB

Normally when I am looking at potential IDP guys to pick up I mainly just look at how many tackles they have. McCourty isn’t going to blow you away with his tackle totals, but he throws in a nice bonus with return yards. If you are in an IPD league that counts return yards then I think McCorty is a must add. He has been averaging around 4 tackles a game, and he already has almost 500 return yards on the season. (about 60% owned)
Recommendation: Must add in IDP leagues
