Pick Up in All Leagues

Ladell Betts Redskins | RB

It looks like Portis is going to miss week 10, which is going to open the door for Betts to start. They have a tough matchup against the Broncos next week, but Betts could have a decent game. (about 15% owned)

Jamaal Charles Chiefs | RB

Charles had a disappointing game week 9, but with the Chiefs dropping Larry Johnson someone is going to have to take over. Charles is the obvious choice to take over and should be added in all leagues just in case he breaks out. (about 50% owned)

Laurence Maroney Patriots | RB

With a TD in each of the last 3 weeks Maroney continues to impress. We will see what happens once Sammy Morris comes back, but for now Maroney is a must add. (about 55% owned)

Darren McFadden Raiders | RB

McFadden will make his much anticipated return week 10 and there are a lot of question marks around his playing time. If you have the roster spot stash him and see how many touches he gets. (about 35% owned)

Miami Defense

Miami’s D is the defensive pick up of the week. They should have a productive day against the Bucs and their rookie QB. (about 50% owned)

Pick Up in Deeper Leagues

David Hawthorne Seahawks | LB

Hawthorne has been a beast since Tatupu went out due to injury. He has 2 sacks, 2 interceptions and 17 tackles in the last two weeks. He is a must add in IDP leagues. (about 10% owned)

Lardarius Webb Ravens | CB

Webb had 7 tackles on Sunday and returned every kick off for the Ravens. This makes Webb a must add in IDP leagues that count return yards. (about 10% owned)

Shonn Greene Jets | RB

Greene was dropped in a lot of leagues heading into last week, but we think he should be picked back up. He should see enough touches to have some value and if Jones goes down Greene will be huge. (about 35% owned)

Earl Bennett Bears | WR

Bennett has been picked up and dropped in a lot of leagues at this point, but he is having a decent year. He had a big game week 9 and he is a great WR to keep on your bench for some depth and the occasional spot start. (about 25% owned)

Buffalo Defense

The Bills have looked pretty good so far on defense and against the Titans this week they should have another good game. The Titans have looked better since Young took over, but look for Buffalo to force some turnovers. (about 30% owned)

Oakland Defense

With a matchup against the Chiefs this week, we think the Raiders could be a decent pick up and play if you are desperate for a defense. (about 5% owned)

Robert Meachem Saints | WR

Every Saints WR is going to be hit or miss, but when they hit they can really help your team. With a matchup against the Rams this week, there should be a lot of yards to go around. (about 20% owned)

Laveranues Coles Bengals | WR

After a slow start Coles is starting to become a bigger part of the Bengals offense. He set both season highs in catches and yards on Sunday and he is worth a look in deeper leagues. (about 45% owned)

Josh Freeman Buccaneers | QB

Freeman looked very good on Sunday, which was his first start in the NFL. We think he is a must add in 2 QB leagues and in deeper 1 QB leagues. (about 10% owned)

Players to keep an eye on

Larry Johnson Free Agent | RB

It is still yet to be seen where Johnson is going to end up, if anywhere. But we wouldn’t waste a roster spot on him unless you are in a really deep league. (about 40% owned)

Chris Chambers Chiefs | WR

If you take away his 2 TD catches that he had in garbage time at the end of the game on Sunday, Chambers would have had an awful game. Don’t believe the stat line. He is worth keeping an eye on but we would not use a roster spot on him. (about 30% owned)

Brandon Pettigrew Lions | TE

Detroit really targeted their TE’s on Sunday. Pettigrew and FitzSimmons combined for 13 catches. Pettigrew is a guy to keep an eye on moving forward. Rookie QB’s love their TE’s. (about 10% owned)

Lance Long Chiefs | WR

Long is looking like he could be an interesting WR to own in PPR leagues. He had 8 catches on Sunday and with a matchup against Oakland this week he could be a good pickup and play if you are desperate. (about 5% owned)

Kolby Smith Chiefs | RB

With Larry Johnson officially gone there are no guarantees that Charles takes over the load. Smith might be the one that emerges to get a bulk of the carries. If you have a roster spot to play with Smith is a good gamble. (about 5% owned)

Ahman Green Packers | RB

What? Is Ahman Green really on the waiver wire report this week? He looked good on Sunday, averaging 7.5 yards a carry. He alsos had 2 kick returns which was an interesting surprise. Green is worth a look in really deep leagues that count return yards. (about 5% owned)
