General discussion about Fantasy Basketball

This is my first time in a keeper league, and I need help to pick my keepers. I just took over this team after the season ended, and I have done a lot of roster overhaul, most significantly trading away Kobe, Tim Duncan, Chauncey Billups, Andre Miller, and Jason Terry. In other words I traded away all of my older players.
This is a 20 team H2H categories league
Here is my roster:
PG: Luke Ridnour (trying to trade for younger option)
SG: Anthony Morrow, Alec Burks, Jordan Hamilton
SF: Chandler Parsons, Jerebko, Richard Jefferson
PF: Josh Smith, Brandon Bass, Matt Bonner
C: Bismack Biyombo, Ed Davis, Okafor
We can pick up to 10 keepers. Thanks in advance.

10 keepers is going to be tough since you don't have that many proven players.
1. Josh Smith - Gotta keep him
2. Anthony Morrow - should still score a ton
3. Okafor - Not a huge fan, but he is still a proven center
4. Ed Davis - still a huge upside here
5. Biyombo - big upside and blocks potential
6. Parsons - he showed a lot of promise last year
7. Alec Burks - hopefully he can get more playing time next year
8. Luke Ridnour - not a lot of long term upside, but still decent short term
9.Jerebko - he has had some big games, but inconsistent
10. Bass - solid numbers for Boston last year
Matt Bonner - limited upside
Jordan Hamilton - going to have a hard time finding playing time
Richard Jefferson - limited upside
Hopefully your young guys will get a lot of playing time next year.

Thanks but the thing is that I don't have to keep 10, the max is 10. I can keep less than that and then draft rookies or other players that were not picked as keepers from other teams.
Also should I do this trade?
Morrow, Bass, and Jerebko for James Johnson, Seraphin, Marion, and Kevin Martin. I have an open roster spot.

Keepers - I would probably throw a few back then to have more room for rookies. I would throw back - Jerebko and maybe Burks and Okafor. Just try to feel out how much talent you might be able to get in the draft. It's a tough call, but I am not a huge fan of those 3 as of now.
Trade - Morrow, Bass, and Jerebko for James Johnson, Seraphin, Marion, and Kevin Martin. I have an open roster spot.
You are giving up a couple decent pieces with Morrow and Bass, but I consider Martin to be the best player in the trade. True he does get hurt a lot, but you aren't really giving up that much to get him. I doubt you will keep Johnson, Seraphin, or Marion, but Martin would be a nice proven player to add to your keepers.

I may keep Marion as he was the 15th best SF last year and it is a 20 team league. He is a decent starter to go along with Josh Smith at my SF and PF positions

Marion did have a decent year last year, but his numbers have been on the decline. He might still have a little left in the tank, but he has limited long term upside.

I think I would hold onto the draft picks and hope to find a diamond in the rough guy. At this point in his career I am not a huge fan of the upside of Brooks.

When do you have to pick keepers or do this trade - Brooks might start but that is doubtful as Isaiah Thomas played so well last year.
I would pass on this trade but there is an outside chance Brooks does get to start..........outside however, as Isaiah Thomas played so well at the end of last year

In terms of Brooks- he definitely is not starting. Reports out of Sacramento say Thomas is going to get big minutes. That being said, Thornton & Tyreke are injury prone (and Tyreke might be shipped) so look for Brooks to get some time at 2 when Sacramento wants to go small/ give up defense for offense
