Anderson Varejao should continue to be a double-double threat and worth at least a short-term add in deeper leagues.
Each week our Fantasy Basketball experts will give fantasy owners their top choices for players to pick up for all leagues, as well as some players to consider in deeper leagues. If you have any Fantasy Basketball questions for our experts feel free to post them in post them in our Fantasy Sports Forum.
With Allen Iverson officially out of the picture, Williams is in great shape to finish the season with strong numbers. He should be picked up in all leagues at this point. (about 75% owned)
Gooden has been playing amazing since he was traded to the Clippers. He has been a good source of points and rebounds and is a great add in all leagues if you need a big man. (about 45% owned)
Gibson has really taken advantage of his playing time. He is going to have inconsistent numbers, but he has a big upside and he should be looked at in all leagues at this point. (about 40% owned)
Varejao should see a few more minutes with Shaq done for year. Although he is still coming off the bench, he is averaging nearly 30 minutes a game and nearly a double-double. Don’t expect huge scoring numbers, but if you need some extra rebounds you might want to give Varejao a look. (about 62% owned)
Tolliver should see a lot of playing time as Andris Biedrins is out for the rest of the season following abdominal surgery. Tolliver is a nice add and should hold value the rest of the way. (about 15% owned)
Portland is a team that has been inconsistent with who they give minutes to this season, but Batum has seen solid minutes as of late. If he continues to get minutes he could be a nice pick up for your team. (about 20% owned)
Lou Williams isn’t the only one that is going to benefit from Allen Iverson leaving. Holiday should see a lot of minutes and should put up decent averages, but he is going to be very inconsistent. (about 10% owned)
With the injury to Josh Howard, there are now a lot of extra minutes to go around in Washington. Singleton should play close to 25 minutes a game and could be a good rebound/block specialist. (about 5% owned)
