Tyrus Thomas gets a fresh start with the Bobcats and could easily see 30+ minutes per game.
Each week our Fantasy Basketball experts will give fantasy owners their top choices for players to pick up for all leagues, as well as some players to consider in deeper leagues. If you have any Fantasy Basketball questions for our experts feel free to post them in post them in our Fantasy Sports Forum.
WIth McGrady moving to the Knicks, he should be one of the most added players this week. We think he still has some left in the tank and he should get plenty of playing time. (about 50% owned)
Blatche has already shown what he can do when he gets a chance to start and he should be starting for the rest of the year. He is worthing adding in almost all leagues at this point. (about 40% owned)
Thomas was traded to the Bobcats and he should see big minutes due to their depleted front court. This is huge news for fantasy owners as Thomas gets a fresh start and could easily see 30+ minutes per game. (about 60% owned)
The trade to New York certainly boosts Rodriguez’s value. Of course anything is a boost when since he was only averaging 13 minutes a game in Sacramento. Rodriguez will likely take over the starting job for the Knicks and push Chris Duhon to the bench. (about 1% owned)
Butler had been playing pretty well even before the Clippers traded Al Thornton to Washington. This trade should open up more playing time for Butler, and even though Travis Outlaw will eventually take a few of those minutes back, its not looking like that will be any time soon. (about 27% owned)
Robinson was traded to the Celtics and will be the first guard off the bench. We don’t expect huge things from Robinson in Boston, but he will have value in deeper leagues. (about 65% owned)
The departure of Marcus Camby should leave more minutes for Jordan. We expect his minutes and production to be all over the place, but he is someone to keep a very close eye on. (about 5% owned)
With Tyrus Thomas gone, Joakim Noah out with plantar fasciitis, and Brad Miller a non-factor, Gibson is virtually assured solid playing time the rest of the season. (about 11% owned)
Smith is going to get more minutes now that Marcus Camby is gone, but we aren’t sure it will be enough. He might have value in the deepest of leagues but he has a limited upside. (about 5% owned)
With almost no one left in Washington, McGee is almost guaranteed at least 20 minutes a game. He will more than likely be very inconsistent but he is worth an add in deeper leagues. (about 15% owned)
Thornton was traded from the Clippers to the Wizards and it will be interesting to see how he responds to his new surroundings. He has the potential to breakout in Washington, but he will be battling for minutes with Mike Miller, Josh Howard and Nick Young. Its worth keeping any eye on in deeper leagues. (about 42% owned)
