Each week our Fantasy Basketball experts will give fantasy owners their top choices for players to pick up for all leagues, as well as some players to consider in deeper leagues. If you have any Fantasy Basketball questions for our experts feel free to post them in post them in our Fantasy Sports Forum.
Add in all leagues
Brewer has been on an absolute tear lately, and has scored 20 or more points in 6 of the last 11 games. He is a streaky player, but we think he will have good value for the rest of the season. (about 55% owned)
With Chris Paul likely to miss 4-8 weeks with knee surgery, Collison is a must add in all leagues. He is going to be a great source of assists and points, but he is only a short-term solution. (about 55% owned)
Thornton has played very well since being promoted to the starting lineup following the Devin Brown trade to Chicago. The injury to Chris Paul only added to his fantasy appeal and he’s worth an add in most leagues. (about 44% owned)
Add in deeper leagues
Rush doesn’t do much more then score, but when he is hot he is a great role player. He is inconsistent, but as long as he keeps playing this many minutes he is going to have some blow up games. (about 45% owned)
Miller has been battling a variety of injuries throughout the season, but he appears to be healthy now. He has put up great numbers over the last few games, and as long he is healthy, we expect him to keep playing well. (about 60% owned)
Gibson’s numbers have been very inconsistent but he is a good source of blocks and rebounds. We expect him to continue to get solid minutes and he is a great role player in deeper leagues. (about 15% owned)
With the potential of Amar’e Stoudemire getting traded, Lopez has a huge upside. If that trade happens and they don’t get a center in return, Lopez could have huge fantasy value. (about 45% owned)
With the Tony Parker injury, Hill has had a great opportunity to show what he is capable of. His value will take a hit once Parker comes back, but Hill has proven that he can produce when given the minutes. (about 30% owned)
McDyess has found his way into the starting lineup and he has been playing almost 30 minutes a game in the last week. We aren’t sure if this will continue, but if it does he could be a great role player in deeper leagues. (about 25% owned)
Murray is a streaky player but when he gets the minutes he is a great scorer. The Bobcats have been giving Murray more scoring opportunities and he could be a good role player moving forward. (about 5% owned)
The Wizards might be trying to trade Antawn Jamison, which could open the door for Blatche to get more minutes. He has been playing ok lately and we think he is worth adding in deeper leagues, just in case Jamison gets shipped out of Washington. (about 30% owned)
