Each week our Fantasy Baseball experts will give fantasy owners their top choices for players to pick up for all leagues, as well as some players to consider in deeper leagues. If you have any Fantasy Baseball questions for our experts feel free to post them in post them in our Fantasy Sports Forum.
Tabata is an interesting young player. He has been on fire since being called up, and it looks like he is in the big leagues to stay. He doesn’t have a ton of power, be he has proven he can bat for average and throw in some steals. (about 15% owned)
It’s surprising that Pagan is only owned in 65% of leagues. He is having a great year and his numbers are solid across the board. He might lose some AB’s with the return of Beltran, but it’s going to be hard for the Mets to take too many plate appearances from Pagan. (about 65% owned)
After a slow start this season the old man is starting to heat up. Ibanez is currently on a 10 game hit steak, during which he has 3 HR’s and has raised his average 18 points. We think he will more than likely cool back off, but you might want to pick him up and ride out this streak. (about 65% owned)
Jay has really impressed since getting called up to the majors. With Ludwick out of the way it looks like Jay has a full time job. He is batting over .360 so far this year, and he is worth a look in most leagues. We doubt Jay will keep up this pace, but he certainly is a great young player with a huge upside. (about 15% owned)
Morgan has yet to hit a HR this year, but that doesn’t mean he has no fantasy value. He has 29 SB’s this year, and he has been slowly raising his batting average. Morgan is worth a look if you need any help in the stolen base department. (about 40% owned)
Yea we know Davis has been on this list about 5 times this year, but he does have a huge upside and he is currently on a hot streak. Over his last 62 at bats he is batting .371 with 3 HR’s, 14 RBI’s, and 6 SB’s. There is a good chance he ends the season on a positive note, and we think he is a great gamble. (about 45% owned)
We all know Ramirez has a ton of talent, but he has yet to do much this year. But, he is starting to get things going over the last couple of weeks. He is currently on a nine-game hit streak in which he has raised his average 12 points. This could be the start of something big for Ramirez moving forward. (about 75% owned)
Storen has a great young arm, and with Matt Capps out of the picture he should get a chance to close for the Nationals. He should put up decent numbers, and we think he is a must add at this point. (about 35% owned)
