With the depth and variety of talent, fantasy owners can tailor their outfield draft for power only, speed only, hitting only, or a combination of all three.
Fantasy owners will likely pay a high price for elite “low-risk” closers like Joe Nathan, Mariano Rivera, Jonathan Broxton, and Jonathan Papelbon.
First base is the deepest position in fantasy baseball and a great source for power stats from some of the league’s elite talents.
The catcher position is often overlooked in most fantasy drafts, however there is a lot more depth and talent than we have seen in recent years.
There is plenty of speed at shortstop, however if you’re looking for power at this position you’ll want to act fast as only a few players will top 20 HRs.
While there are still a handful of elite third baseman, the the number of quality options in the later rounds has thinned out significantly.
Second base is still one of the thinner positions in fantasy baseball, but there is currently more depth at the position than at any other time in recent memory.
