Our weekly fantasy football waiver wire takes a look at the top pickups at each position for Week 7 of the 2018 NFL season. Many of these players are still available in a majority of leagues and could have an immediate impact on your fantasy roster. Others might be worth stashing on your bench or are simply just players to add to your watch list. With that in mind, here’s a list of players should you consider adding to your squad for Week 7.
For a more in-depth look at the players on this list, watch our our Week 7 waiver wire video.
Top QB pickup: Mitchell Trubisky (5% owned)
Trubisky followed up his 354-yard, six-touchdown performance in Week 4 with 316 yards and three more touchdowns in Sunday’s Week 6 loss in Miami. He also added 53 rushing yards in Week 4 and another 47 yards this past week. He has a favorable matchup in Week 7 against a Patriots defense that just allowed 352 passing yards and four touchdowns to Patrick Mahomes.
Top RB pickup: Corey Clement (60% owned)
Clement carried the ball 11 times for 43 yards and a touchdown while adding three receptions for 26 yards in the Eagles Week 6 win over the Giants. Despite being out-touched and out-snapped by Wendell Smallwood, Clement out-gained Smallwood 69-51. Clement looked like the better, more explosive player and perhaps made a compelling case for more work as the Eagles continue to evaluate their running backs following Jay Ajayi‘s season-ending knee injury. Clement has a higher ceiling of the two and commands ownership in most league formats.
RB priority list: Corey Clement (60% owned), Marlon Mack (30% owned), Ito Smith (11% owned), Peyton Barber (35% owned), Latavius Murray (50% owned), Duke Johnson Jr. (35% owned), Rashaad Penny (25% owned), D’Onta Foreman (25% owned), Raheem Mostert (1% owned), Darren Sproles (10% owned)
Top WR pickup: Taylor Gabriel (25% owned)
Gabriel hauled in all five of his targets for 110 yards while adding a nine-yard rush in the Bears’ Week 6 loss to the Dolphins. He has emerged in the Bears offense topping 100 yards in each game of their last two games. He has also been targeted at least five times in every game this season and could be a viable fantasy option again next week when the Patriots come to Chicago.
WR priority list: Taylor Gabriel (25% owned), Chris Godwin (45% owned), David Moore (5% owned), Albert Wilson (10% owned), Chester Rogers (20% owned), Willie Snead IV (10% owned), Cole Beasley (10% owned), Tyrell Williams (10% owned), Christian Kirk (15% owned)
Top TE pickup: O.J. Howard (55% owned)
Howard hauled in all four of his targets for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Bucs’ Week 6 loss to the Falcons. Returning sooner than expected from an MCL sprain, Howard did not look limited and put up one of the better tight end stat lines of the week. He will look to maintain his success in Week 7 versus the Browns.
