Our weekly fantasy football waiver wire takes a look at the top pickups for Week 16 of the NFL season. Many of these players are still available in a majority of leagues and could have an immediate impact on your fantasy roster. Others might be worth stashing on your bench, or are simply just players to add to your watch list. If you have any waiver wire questions, feel free to post them in our Fantasy Football Forum.

Running Backs

Ty Montgomery GB | RB

If you have been reading my articles then you know that I am a Ty fan and the Packers are finally treating him as an every down running back. After his Week 15 performance there is no way the Packers go back to James Starks even if he is able to suit up during championship week. The Packers play the Vikings Week 16 so it’s not the best matchup, but I fully expect Montgomery to get 15+ touches and he will be a borderline RB1 for the last week of the fantasy season. (about 60% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Wide Receivers

Dontrelle Inman SD | WR

Inman had somewhat of a down Week 15, but he still managed five catches for 68 yards. He continues to be a focal point in the Chargers offense and I think he could have a solid Week 16. The Chargers will be at Cleveland and at this point we all know how easy it is for teams to put up fantasy points against that defense. (about 40% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Charles Johnson MIN | WR

Remember heading into the 2015 season when Johnson was everyone’s favorite sleeper at wide receiver. We all know how that turned out, but he has talent and he was a sleeper for a reason. He has been getting more involved with the offense as of late and if the injury to Adam Thielen forces him to miss time then I don’t mind Johnson as a pickup and play in deeper leagues. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Marqise Lee JAX | WR

Lee was held without a catch Week 15, but he was able to save his fantasy week with a 100 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. I am calling the zero catches a fluke and I don’t mind him Week 16 against the Titans. The Jags are playing at home and Tennessee is terrible against the pass. (about 20% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Robby Anderson NYJ | WR

Anderson has had three solid games in a row and he is clearly the Jets best fantasy option in the passing game. Brandon Marshall just hasn’t been himself and at this point I am not expecting much out of him. The Jets have the Patriots Week 16 and they will be forced to throw a good bit to try to keep up. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Tight Ends

Hunter Henry SD | TE

I don’t like the fact that Henry’s weekly value is dependent on him finding the end zone. I do however like that he has scored a touchdown in four of his last five games. With a matchup against Cleveland Week 16 I think Henry is an interesting option at tight end. (about 20% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Defenses

San Diego SD | DEF

The Chargers have the Browns Week 16 and I think they are a solid streaming option for your championship matchup. The Chargers Def has been solid lately and you have to think they will be able to force some mistakes from RGIII and the woeful Browns offense. (about 30% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play
