Our weekly fantasy football waiver wire takes a look at the top pickups for Week 16 of the NFL season. Many of these players are still available in a majority of leagues and could have an immediate impact on your fantasy roster. Others might be worth stashing on your bench, or are simply just players to add to your watch list. If you have any waiver wire questions, feel free to post them in our Fantasy Football Forum.

Running Backs

Andre Williams NYG | RB

Rashad Jennings hurt his ankle again Week 15 and he might not be around to help your fantasy squads if you made the finals. This will open the door for Williams to once again carry the load. He doesn’t have the easiest matchup going up against the Rams defense, but he will still be a solid RB2/Flex play since you know he will get the touches. (about 60% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Joseph Randle DAL | RB

I have been saying all year that DeMarco Murray was going to get hurt and until right now he had proven me wrong. At the end of the day I was right though and his status for Week 16 is a huge question mark. It looks like Randle will more than likely handle the early down work and Lance Dunbar would be the passing down back. Randle should be added in all leagues until he know the status of Murray and even Dunbar is worth a look in deeper PPR leagues. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Kerwynn Williams ARI | RB

Williams has been solid over the last couple of weeks and he could be a decent pickup and play if you are desperate. He has a terrible matchup against the Seahawks, but at least with Williams you know he will get the touches. He has 34 carries over the last two weeks and I expect him to see a similar workload during championship week. (about 20% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Toby Gerhart JAX | RB

Gerhart has a juicy matchup Week 16 against Tennessee and while it’s scary he needs to be considered as a pickup and play. He looked fairly healthy Week 15 and it’s clear that he is going to lead that backfield in touches. If you are having health issues at running back then you should give Gerhart a look. (about 35% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Carlos Hyde SF | RB

Frank Gore got hurt Week 15 and it looked like it was finally Carlos Hyde time, but Hyde got injured shortly after Gore went down. You will need to pay attention to the reports this week and see which 49er running backs are going to be healthy. If Gore is out and Hyde is able to suit up then, Hyde could be a great plug and play. If Gore and Hyde are both unable to play then you are left with terrible options in Bruce Miller and Alfonso Smith. (about 40% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Wide Receivers

Donte Moncrief IND | WR

T.Y. Hilton injured his hamstring Week 15 and with the Colts already locking up their playoff spot I don’t expect them to rush him back. This is going to open the door for Moncrief to get more targets and he could have a big game against the Cowboys. The Colts/Cowboys game could turn into a high scoring affair and I expect that there will be plenty of fantasy points to go around in that matchup. (about 35% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Jarvis Landry MIA | WR

It’s surprising to me that the fantasy world isn’t putting more faith into Landry. He has clearly been the most valuable Dolphins receiver for months now and he has double digit targets in four of his last six games. The Dolphins play Minnesota Week 16 and while it’s not the best matchup, I do like that they are at home and I think Landry will have another solid game. (about 50% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Harry Douglas ATL | WR

If Julio Jones is forced to miss another game then Harry Douglas could prove to be a solid play Week 16. Whenever Douglas has had a chance to start he puts up solid numbers and that certainly was the case Week 15. Douglas hauled in ten catches for 131 years on 14 targets and it’s clear that he has the trust of quarterback Matt Ryan. (about 30% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Nate Washington TEN | WR

Washington is averaging seven targets a week during the last four weeks and if Kendall Wright misses another game then he should continue to be a focal point of the Titans offense. The Titans have a Thursday night matchup against the woeful Jaguars and they should be able to move the ball on that defense. There is a chance this game actually turns into a bit of a high scoring game since both of these teams have such bad defenses. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Quarterbacks

Robert Griffin III WAS | QB

I know I know, do you really want to put your championship hopes in the hands of the Redskins offense? They have been a mess all year and you know the Eagles are going to get some pressure on the oft injured RGIII. Even with all that being said I don’t mind RGIII as a pickup and play this week. The Eagles give up plenty of fantasy points to opposing offenses and I could see this divisional game turning into a bit of a shootout. (about 35% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Defenses

Green Bay GB | DEF

In terms of fantasy points the Packers defense has been up and down the entire season, but it’s hard not to get excited about a matchup against the Bucs. I am sure Green Bay will be looking to rebound after a terrible Week 15 and I expect them to do just that. I expect the Bucs offense to make some mistakes in the second half as they try to play catchup. (about 60% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Miami MIA | DEF

Miami has a nice matchup against the Vikings Week 16 and they should have a solid defensive week. The Vikings don’t have many weapons on offense and I expect Miami to get plenty of pressure on the rookie quarterback. (about 60% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Cleveland CLE | DEF

Cleveland’s D has been solid for most of the year and with a matchup against the Panthers Week 16 I think they will end on a high note. The Panthers are an entirely different team when Cam Newton is injured and I think the Panthers will have a hard time moving the ball against the Browns. (about 40% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play
