Our weekly waiver wire takes a look at the top pickups for Week 12 of the NFL season. Many of these players are still available in a majority of leagues and could have an immediate impact on your fantasy roster. Others might be worth stashing on your bench, or are simply just players to add to your watch list. If you have any waiver wire questions, feel free to post them in our Fantasy Football Forum.

Running Backs

Tre Mason STL | RB

Not sure what has to happen for this kid to get picked up. He has been on my waiver wire show for about a month straight now and he is still only owned in about half of all leagues. He is the best running back on the Rams and he should continue to see the majority of the carries going forward. (about 50% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

C.J. Anderson DEN | RB

The Broncos have been hit with the injury bug and at this point Anderson is one of the only healthy running backs left. The Broncos had a tough time moving the ball Week 11, but you know that will not be the case most weeks. It looks like Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman will be out for a majority of the remaining fantasy season and this makes Anderson an absolute must add. (about 65% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Jonas Gray NE | RB

We all knew that Gray would have some value after the Stevan Ridley injury, but I don’t think anyone ever thought he would ever have a four touchdown game. He looked great out there Sunday night, finishing runs strong and proving to be a tough tackle. I expect Gray to be inconsistent moving forward, but after what he did Week 11 he needs to be owned in all leagues. (about 15% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Isaiah Crowell CLE | RB

It’s very clear that the Browns coaching staff hates fantasy football. Every week it seems they are featuring a new running back and at this point it’s impossible to know who is the guy to own in Cleveland. The only good thing is that they have been typically sticking with the running back that starts the game. This makes Crowell worth a bench spot just in case the coaching staff calls his number on game days. (about 25% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Latavius Murray OAK | RB

It looks like the Raiders might be finally ready to see what this young kid can do. It’s not like they have much to play for at this point, so they might as well see if Murray can be their running back of the future. Murray looked good in limited touches Week 11 and I expect his role to grow down the stretch. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Devonta Freeman ATL | RB

With Antone Smith officially out of the way for the rest of the season, this makes the Falcons running back situation a bit less crowded. At this point Freeman is the clear backup for the Falcons and if Steven Jackson goes down with injury then Freeman could in line for a huge role. I love Freeman as a high upside guy to add to your bench if you have a roster spot. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Bryce Brown BUF | RB

It’s clear now that the Bills plan on using Brown heavily in the passing game and for that reason I am not afraid of him losing value once Fred Jackson comes back. I think Boobie Dixon is going to take the biggest hit once Jackson is healthy and Brown should continue to have decent value in PPR leagues. He will never be more than a flex option, but he could be a decent fill in if you have issues at running back. (about 25% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Wide Receivers

Jordan Matthews PHI | WR

The year of the rookie receiver continues and at this point I think Matthews is a must add in all leagues. He seems to be the favorite target of the new quarterback Mark Sanchez and I love his upside for the rest of the season. Matthews is the complete package and he has an extremely bright future for the Eagles. (about 65% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Chris Hogan BUF | WR

Hogan was a guy that I talked about last week as a guy to look at in extremely deep leagues and at this point he is a guy that needs consideration in most leagues. Kyle Orton loves to throw the ball his way and Hogan has been a target machine over the last few weeks. In any type of 12+ team PPR league I think Hogan is pretty much a must add. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Kenny Britt STL | WR

The Rams offense is much better with Shaun Hill under center and this could help to put Britt back on the fantasy map. It was clear that Britt was Hill’s favorite target and he could have had an even bigger game if the Rams weren’t playing with a lead. Britt still has a limited overall upside, but he could have some more big games this year if you are desperate for a receiver. (about 15% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

John Brown ARI | WR

The Cardinals offense isn’t as good with Carson Palmer in street clothes, but they still looked decent Week 11. Brown continues to prove that he is a fantasy relevant receiver and this rookie is more than just a deep route runner. Brown has carved himself a nice spot in the Cards offense and I expect him to have solid value for the rest of the season. (about 30% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Quarterbacks

Ryan Mallett HOU | QB

Mallett looked decent in his debut as the Texans new starting quarterback and it’s possible that the Mallett era has officially begun for them. The Texans have plenty of weapons on offense and I think Mallett could have success for the Texans down the stretch. He is only worth a look in deeper leagues, but he has good match-ups over the next handful of weeks and he could be a decent add if you are desperate. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Shaun Hill STL | QB

The Rams pulled off a huge upset Week 11 and it looks like the starting quarterback job is Hill’s for the rest of the way. The Rams offense looked much better with him behind center and it’s possible that a couple more Rams players might have fantasy value because of the QB change. Hill is certainly worth a look in all two quarterback leagues and any 12+ team one quarterback leagues. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Tight End

Jacob Tamme DEN | TE

Julius Thomas left the game Week 11 with an ankle injury and there is a chance that he could miss some time. This would open the door for Tamme to see more time on the field and this makes him an interesting add. If you are looking for a short term solution at tight end then you might want to give Tamme a look. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Coby Fleener IND | TE

Fleener has been a big part of the Colts offense over the last couple of weeks and he could be a top ten tight end down the stretch. There are many question marks at the tight end position right now and Fleener could be your answer. With defenses giving so much attention to Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton, it has left Fleener as the forgotten man. (about 45% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Defenses

Indianapolis IND | DEF

The Colts D looked terrible against the Pats Week 11, but they have a much easier matchup with the Jags Week 12. Looking forward the Colts have a few easy match-ups and I think this makes them a great pickup if you are streaming defenses. (about 45% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play
