Add in all leagues

Chris Carter HOU | 1B/OF

It’s impressive what this guy has done over the last five weeks or so and it’s crazy to me that he is still available in so many leagues. His power potential is obvisouly huge, but he has also been batting for average recently. Even though his average will probably come back down to earth, I still think he is a guy that should be owned in all leagues. (about 70% owned)

Neftali Feliz TEX | RP

The Rangers are having a rough year, but I think they will turn things around a bit down the stretch. Feliz has been solid since taking over the closer role and he needs to be owned in more leagues. I have always been a big Feliz fan and if he can stay healthy then you will see why I like him so much. (about 50% owned)

Joaquín Benoit SD | RP

Benoit has been amazing this year and he recently took over the closer role for the Padres. True San Diego isn’t the best team in the league, but he has 6 saves since July 25th and he hasn’t given up an earned run during that stretch. Another thing I like about him is his K rates, so far this year he has 58 Ks in only 48 innings of work. (about 50% owned)

Danny Santana MIN | 2B/SS/OF

Since getting called up to the bigs Santana has been a beast. It did kind of come out of nowhere since his minor league stats were just ok, but it’s hard to ignore what he has done since getting called up. I think he is worth adding because of his position eligibility and because there is a chance that this young prospect keeps up these numbers. (about 65% owned)

Javier Báez CHC | 2B/SS

Baez is one of the most exciting young players in the league and he has played great for the Cubs since getting called up. The former first round pick has had amazing power numbers in the minors and so far in the bigs he has four homeruns in only 41 at bats. When you combine his huge upside with his position eligibility, then you have a guy that needs to be owned in all leagues. (about 70% owned)

Michael Pineda NYY | SP

Pineda is back from the 60 day DL and he looked good in his first start since he was caught cheating. We know that he is a talented young player and if he can stay healthy he could be a top pitcher down the stretch. If you at all need help with your starting pitching then you need to grab him before it’s too late. (about 50% owned)

Add in deeper leagues

Jeurys Familia NYM | RP

Familia has some nasty stuff and he has pitched great for the Mets this year. He recently took over the closer role and he is two for two in save opportunities in the last week. He has solid K potential and I think there is a good chance that he has fantasy value for the rest of the season. (about 15% owned)

Dustin Ackley SEA | 2B/OF

Ackley has had hype around him ever since he came to the big leagues back in 2011. However, until this point though he has just been OK. At only 26 year old though, you still have to think there is a chance that he could live up to all of that hype. Ackley had an amazing July and has been solid so far in August and I like his chances of putting up decent numbers the last couple months of the season. (about 40% owned)

Ryan Vogelsong SF | SP

I don’t think Vogelsong will ever be a top fantasy pitcher, but when he is playing well I love how consistent he is. Even though he will not give you many outings with zero earned runs, he is the king of the quality start. He has had a quality start in six of his last nine outings. Vogelsong is pitching well right now and I think he will be solid the rest of the way. (about 25% owned)

Keep an eye on

Jake Lamb ARI | 3B

Lamb was having an amazing year in the minors before getting called up and it’s obvious that this kid has some potential. The 23 year old rookie was batting well over .300 and he had 59 extra base hits in only 460 at bats in the minors this year. The Diamondbacks have a great prospect here and I think he could be good for many years to come. (about 5% owned)

Tommy Medica SD | 1B/OF

In his short major league career Medica has been impressive. He already has 18 extra base hits and he has thrown in a few stolen bases as well. He wasn’t having a great year in the minors this year, but he has proven in the past that he can bat for power and average. Medica is certainly a guy you need to keep a close eye on. (about 10% owned)
