Each week during the NFL season FST brings you our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups, which breaks down players available in many leagues that could have an immediate impact on your fantasy roster, or simply just players to keep on your radar. Let’s take a look at some of the hottest pickups at each position heading into Week 16 of the NFL season. If you have any waiver wire questions, feel free to post them in our Fantasy Football Forum.

Quarterbacks

Jay Cutler CHI | QB

After some controversy the Bears did make the switch back to Cutler and he had a solid game. The Bears have so many weapons on the offensive side of the ball and it seems that whoever is behind center has a chance for a big game. This makes Cutler a very intriguing play championship week against the Eagles. Philly has been giving up a lot of yards through the air and I think Cutler is a solid QB1 this week. (about 50% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Kirk Cousins WAS | QB

It’s a little scary when you think about putting your championship hopes on the arm of Cousins, but I like his upside week 16. He picked apart a bad Falcons D week 15 and he has another great matchup against the Cowboys week 16. There is a good chance that the Redskins Cowboys game turns into a shootout and I think Cousins is almost a lock for 300+ yards passing. (about 15% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Running Backs

Edwin Baker CLE | RB

The mess that is the Browns running game continues and the latest guy getting the carries is Edwin Baker. The 4-10 Browns don’t have anything else to play for, so they might as well give this youngster some carries. He is going to be hard to trust against The Jets next week, but in a really deep league he might be worth a look. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Jordan Todman JAX | RB

I think there is a chance that the Jags will hold MJD out another week since they are out of the playoff hunt and this would open the door for Todman to get another start. He proved week 15 that he can handle the load and I think he is a solid RB2 just because of the amount of touches he would get. They like to use him in the passing game and the running game so no matter how the game against Tennessee is going he should be out on the field. (about 20% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Wide Receivers

Jarrett Boykin GB | WR

After the Cobb injury it looked like Boykin was going to have a great season. After the Rodgers injury though he has been inconsistent and hard to trust for your starting lineup. However, I think Boykin gets back on the fantasy map if Rodgers is able to come back week 16. (about 50% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Jerrel Jernigan NYG | WR

The injury to Victor Cruz could open the door for other Giants receivers to make some noise and I think Jernigan has a nice upside. Eli threw his way a lot as they tried to play catch up against the Seahawks and there is a good chance he sees a good amount of targets week 16 as they try to keep up with the Lions. Eli is playing terrible as of late, but I still think Jernigan is a guy you need to consider adding in deeper leagues. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Aldrick Robinson WAS | WR

Robinson has had some solid games down the stretch and I think he could have a nice game during championship week. The Skins are at home against the Cowboys terrible pass D and I think Cousins and the Skins could throw for a lot of yards. This is far from a guarantee, but if you are looking for a high upside receiver then he could be your guy. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Tight Ends

Delanie Walker TEN | TE

Walker was dropped in a ton of leagues after his concussion, but it’s time to pick him back up. He had a solid game week 15 and I think he has another great game against the Jags week 16. There is a chance that the Jags Titans game turns into a shootout and I think there will be a lot of fantasy points to go around. (about 50% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Defense/Special Teams

Miami MIA | DEF

The Buffalo offense has been a mess and I think the Dolphins shouldn’t have too hard of a time forcing some turnovers. They did a great job against Brady for most of the game week 15 and they should have a much easier time against Manuel. I would like them a lot more if they were playing at home, but even on the road I think they could have a good fantasy day. (about 30% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Cleveland CLE | DEF

It’s the Browns turn to play the Jets and I think their defense is a safe play week 16. The Browns D has been decent this year and you have to think they will be able to force a couple of turnovers. If you are looking for a pick up and play defense then you might want to give the Browns a look for your championship matchup. (about 25% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play
