Each week during the NFL season FST brings you our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups, which breaks down players available in many leagues that could have an immediate impact on your fantasy roster, or simply just players to keep on your radar. Let’s take a look at some of the hottest pickups at each position heading into Week 15 of the NFL season. If you have any waiver wire questions, feel free to post them in our Fantasy Football Forum.

Quarterbacks

EJ Manuel BUF | QB

I know Manuel is coming off of a terrible game, but he has the Jags week 15 and I think he could have a solid game. Everyone is talking about the Jags playing better and how they are no longer the laughing stock of the league. While part of this may be true they are still giving up a lot of points to quarterbacks. Manuel is a desperation play and it’s scary putting your playoff life in the hands of a rookie coming off of a 4 INT game, but I like his upside this week. (about 15% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Running Backs

Joique Bell DET | RB

Reggie Bush was hurt during warmups and this opened the door for Bell to get the starting nod. Even though he fumbled a couple of times, he had a solid overall game. You need to do what you can to get Bell on your team, because of Bush ends up missing week 15 then Bell will be almost a must start. (about 65% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Toby Gerhart MIN | RB

Gerhart didn’t look terrible in relief of Peterson on Sunday and he is certainly worth an add in most leagues if he gets a chance to start. It’s up in the air if Peterson will be able to play week 15, but as of now I would be surprised if he is able to go. Gerhart did tweak his hamstring at then end of the game against the Ravens though, so be sure to monitor that before deciding if you want to pick him up. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

James Starks GB | RB

Lacy was one of the many starting running backs that got hurt week 14 and if he misses time then Starks could be a great add. There is a good chance that Rodgers comes back week 15 and the Packers offense could finally be back to normal. Starks has been productive whenever given a chance and I think he is a great add if you aren’t liking your week 15 running backs, or if you are a Lacy owner. (about 15% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Chris Ogbonnaya CLE | RB

McGahee suffered a concussion week 14 and depending on his status during the week this could make Ogbonnaya a decent desperation fantasy play. The Browns play the Bears week 15 which could be better, but Ogbonnaya could see plenty of carries along with a decent amount of targets in the passing game. He has been ok at times this year, but like I said you would need to be pretty desperate to think about starting him. (about 25% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Daniel Thomas MIA | RB

All signs were pointing to Thomas not playing week 14. Not only did he play, but he had his best game of the year. Lamar Miller left the game with a concussion which gave Thomas even more carries and he took full advantage. If Miller misses extended time then Thomas could have some short term value. Keep an eye on the injury status of Miller through the week and get Thomas on your squad if it looks like it might be serious. (about 15% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Wide Receivers

Rod Streater OAK | WR

Streater continues to impress, but the fantasy worlds continues to ignore his solid play. The Raiders have been playing from behind a lot and this means more throws coming to Streater. His matcheups week 15 and 16 aren’t terrible and if you are at all looking for a wide receiver then he could be your answer. (about 20% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Cordarrelle Patterson MIN | WR

Patterson is quickly becoming a viable fantasy option and at this point he needs to be looked at in almost all leagues. The Vikings are finally getting their young talented rookie involved with the offense and it’s clear that this guy has a ton of talent. If Peterson ends up missing significant time I wouldn’t even be surprised if Patterson saw a little time at running back. I don’t think it’s time to call Patterson a must add in all leagues, but at this point you have to consider him in any type of 12 team or more league. (about 30% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Justin Hunter TEN | WR

The rookie receiver is starting to make some noise and all keeper leagues need to take notice. The Titans are an interesting young offense and if they can solve their long term quarterback issues then they could be a solid offense next year. Hunter is obvisouly a talented player and I am curious to see how the Titans use him during the last few games. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in keeper leagues

Da’Rick Rogers IND | WR

Wow, what a game by Rogers. The undrafted rookie hadn’t caught a pass all season and he burst onto the scene with 2 TDs and over 100 yards. He went undrafted because of character issues in college, but it’s clear that he would have been drafted if he didn’t have those flaws. It’s hard to guess what we should expect from him for the rest of the season, but it’s possible he has another big game or two. If you are in any type of deeper keeper league though you need to give this guy a look. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in keeper leagues

Marquise Goodwin BUF | WR

Goodwin has shown flashes at times this year of being a dynamic playmaker and I think he could have a decent game week 15. The coaching staff has mentioned that they want to get Goodwin more involved and what better week than with a matchup against Jacksonville. Even though the Jags have started to win games they are still giving up a lot points and yards. I wouldn’t call Goodwin anything more than a WR4, but if you are looking for a high upside receiver then he could be your man. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Tight Ends

Dennis Pitta BAL | TE

The long awaited return of Pitta finally happened week 14 and he had a solid game. I thought about adding him to this last week, but at that point there were just too many question marks. Now he looks to be a potential low end TE1 and it’s possible that some teams might see Pitta as an upgrade to their starting lineup. If you aren’t happy with your tight end then you might want to give Pitta a look. (about 15% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all deeper leagues

Defense/Special Teams

Indianapolis IND | DEF

The Colts D had a tough time against the Bengals week 14, but I think they will do better against Houston week 15. They will be at home where they have played much better and the Texans offense is still a bit of a mess. We all know that the Texans love to give up INTs for touchdowns, so there is always a good chance of that happening from week to week. (about 35% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Philadelphia PHI | DEF

The Eagles defense has looked good this year in terms of fantasy and I think they could have another solid game against the Vikings. It looks like Adrian Peterson will be out week 15 and there is a chance that Gerhart doesn’t play as well. If that’s the case then it will be up to the streaky Vikings passing game to move the ball on offense. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play
