Each week during the NFL season FST brings you our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups, which breaks down players available in many leagues that could have an immediate impact on your fantasy roster, or simply just players to keep on your radar. Let’s take a look at some of the hottest pickups at each position heading into Week 14 of the NFL season. If you have any waiver wire questions, feel free to post them in our Fantasy Football Forum.

Quarterbacks

Jay Cutler CHI | QB

All signs are pointing to Cutler coming back week 14 and if you don’t like your QB matchup he could be a solid pickup and play. The Bears have a matchup against the Cowboys and their pass D is pretty terrible. It is a bit of a gamble starting a guy coming off of an injury in the playoffs, but there is certainly a big upside here. (about 35% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Case Keenum HOU | QB

It’s a bit scary potentially putting your playoff life in the hands of Keenum, but you could do a lot worse week 14. He has a great matchup against the Jags on Thursday night and even though he didn’t do much against them week 12 I think they will do better week 14. Their run game has looked better and I think that will help to open up the passing game for Keenum. (about 30% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play

Running Backs

Donald Brown IND | RB

In general it’s a pretty quite week for the waiver wire, but I do think Brown should be added in all leagues. He is the only guy that I would really go after this week if he is still available in your league. The Colts have finally given in and sent Richardson to the bench and I see no reason why they will not continue to go with Brown as their featured back. (about 45% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Willis McGahee CLE | RB

The mess that is the Browns running game continues and as of now it looks like McGahee might be guy out in front as the one to own for fantasy. He is going to be hard to trust from week to week, but in really deep leagues he could have some value. His matchups aren’t the best over the next few weeks, but again in really deep leagues I don’t mind him as an add for running back depth. (about 15% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

LeGarrette Blount NE | RB

The Patriots running back situation continues to be a nightmare for fantasy owners. At this point Blount appears to be the guy to own and he could have some value during the fantasy playoffs. He will be a risky play since the Patriots will bench pretty much anyone if they fumble, but the bruising running back should get a solid amount of touches as long as he continues to produce and hold onto the football. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Wide Receivers

Michael Crabtree SF | WR

There isn’t much I need to say about Crabtree. He is back from injury and there is a good chance that he picks up where he left off in 2012. He had a breakout season last year and I am sure Colin Kaepernick and the rest of the 49ers offense is extremely happy to see him back on the field. (about 55% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Julian Edelman NE | WR

Even though Gronk and Amendola are healthy it seems that Brady has turned to Edelman as his favorite target. It could be that Edelman is now the forgotten guy when it comes to who opposing defensives pay attention to. I am not 100% believing his numbers from the last two games, but if defenses keep giving Gronk and Amendola all of the attention then I think Edelman could continue to have some big games. (about 55% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Ace Sanders JAC | WR

There is a good chance that the Jags might be done with Blackmon for good, so this could open the door for Sanders to have a big impact for their offense in 2014. If you are in any type of keeper league you might want to consider adding him to your bench. Ace will probably be too risky to start in your fantasy playoffs this year, but in deeper PPR leagues he might be someone that you would consider starting. (about 55% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all PPR leagues

Andre Holmes OAK | WR

At this point I don’t think Holmes is anything more than a guy to just keep an eye on, but he does have an upside. He played well in relief of Moore week 13 and if he gets another chance to play a lot of snaps I think he could continue to have value. The 2nd year undrafted receiver had 11 targets week 13 and he took full advantage of his time out on the field. (about 5% owned)
Recommendation: Keep an eye on

Defense/Special Teams

Oakland OAK | DEF

If it’s one thing we have learned as the year as gone on, it’s that the Jets offense is terrible. Even though I don’t love the Raiders defense in general, I like their matchup week 14. The Jets offense just can’t seem to do anything right at this point and even though the Raiders will be on the road I think they will have a decent game. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play
