Each week during the NFL season FST brings you our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups, which breaks down players available in many leagues that could have an immediate impact on your fantasy roster, or simply just players to keep on your radar. Let’s take a look at some of the hottest pickups at each position heading into Week 10 of the NFL season. If you have any waiver wire questions, feel free to post them in our Fantasy Football Forum.

Quarterbacks

Nick Foles PHI | QB

All I have to say is WOW! Foles had one of the best games in NFL history week 9 and the Eagles offense was running on all cylinders. The Raiders defense looked terrible, but this performance was certainly not a complete fluke. Foles needs to be owned in a lot more leagues and that this point I would consider him a low end QB1 for the rest of the season. (about 25% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Case Keenum HOU | QB

Keenum was very impressive during Sunday night football and it looks like he is the new Texans starting quarterback. He provided the spark that the Texans needed on offense and I would be shocked if they went back to Schaub at this point. There are a ton of weapons on that offense and he should have solid success during the second half of the season. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Running Backs

Andre Ellington ARI | RB

If Ellington wasn’t on a bye week 9 then he would have been picked up in a lot more leagues, but I wanted to add him to this list to make sure you didn’t forget about him. Mendenhall is going to still be in the mix, although I don’t think he will get as many carries as you used too. Look for Ellington to get 15+ touches from here on out and I think his big play potential makes him a must add in all leagues. (about 65% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Ben Tate HOU | RB

Arian Foster didn’t make too many fantasy owners happy on Sunday night and if he ends up missing any time then Tate could be a huge short term solution. Foster has battled a number of injuries this year and it could be hard for him to stay healthy for the rest of the year. Tate is also battling some injuries, but as of now he has been able to play through them. He is one of the best handcuffs in the league and Foster owners need to do what they can to get Tate on their team. (about 55% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Zac Stacy STL | RB

I am not sure what this kid has to do to get picked up in more leagues. I know he was questionable to play last week and this probably deterred owners from picking him up, but he is still a starting running back that gets a lot of touches. After week 9 he will be owned in close to 100% of leagues and if for some reason he is still available in your league you need to do whatever it takes to try to get him. (about 75% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Mike James TB | RB

After Doug Martin got hurt it was pretty easy to think that no running back for the Bucs was going to have much fantasy value. However, the performance that James had week 9 I think is going to change people’s minds. He had a ton of touches and he took full advantage against a solid Seattle defense. The only thing I don’t like about James is that they don’t like him that much in passing downs, so if they are playing from behind he might not see much time on the field. He is still worth an add in all leagues though until we know for sure how long Martin will be out. (about 50% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Andre Brown NYG | RB

After a long wait it looks like Brown will be back with the Giants week 10 and he could lead that backfield in touches moving forward. The Giants offense still has a lot of weapons and if they can get their running game going they could go back to what we are used to seeing from them. Brown has shown flashes of being a solid NFL running back and if he can stay healthy he could be a great addition to any fantasy team. (about 40% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in all leagues

Montee Ball DEN | RB

Ball looks to have finally gotten out of the doghouse and he has a decent chance of making a fantasy impact during the second half of the season. The Broncos are basically already in the playoffs and once they don’t have anything else to play for they are going to be looking to limit the touches for Moreno. He was dropped in a ton of leagues after his terrible start, but it’s time to start picking this guy back up. (about 40% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Chris Ivory NYJ | RB

It’s been a bit of a guessing game lately when it comes to which Jets running back is going to get the carries. However, it looks like Ivory is back on top and appears to be the guy to own. There is certainly no guarantee of this moving forward, but he is worth an add in a lot of formats as a high upside running back for your bench. (about 50% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Jonathan Stewart CAR | RB

Stewart has been out all year, but he came back week 9 and he should go back to getting his share of the carries in Carolina. He looked pretty good in his first game back and I especially like him in PPR leagues since they like to use him in the passing game. His upside will always be limited as long as Williams is healthy, but he is still worth a bench spot in deeper leagues. (about 20% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Rashad Jennings OAK | RB

Tell me if you have heard this one before, McFadden is hurt. This opens the door for Jennings to maybe get a start or two and he looked good week 9 as they played from behind against the Eagles. If you are desperate for a running back then he is certainly worth a look. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Wide Receivers

Aaron Dobson NE | WR

I talked about Dobson last week and how he had moved up the depth chart, and that was very evident week 9. Tom Brady looked like the Brady of old and things could be turning the corner for the Patriots offense. Dobson is a talented young receiver and at this point I think he is worth an add in all leagues since he has such a big upside. He will probably be somewhat inconsistent, but he should have some big games down the stretch. (about 35% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Brandon LaFell CAR | WR

When you look at the numbers of LaFell they aren’t going to knock your socks off, but he has been consistently above average. I am surprised that he isn’t owned in more leagues because of this. He has at least 3 catches in each of his last 7 games and he continues to be a big part of the Panthers offense. LaFell is quietly on pace for a solid season and I think he should be added in deeper leagues. (about 25% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Riley Cooper PHI | WR

A lot of times when a new quarterback takes over there can be a receiver that instantly gets on the same page with them. This might be what’s happening with Foles and Cooper. They both had an amazing week 9 and this puts them on the fantasy radar as potential adds. I am not completely buying the performance from Cooper, but I do think he needs to be added in a lot of leagues to see if it was for real. (about 10% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Tight Ends

Tim Wright TB | TE

Wright continues to attract attention in the fantasy world and with a week 9 touchdown he is going to get picked up in a lot more leagues. He had 2 TDs and 23 catches over the last 5 weeks and while rookie tight ends rarely have fantasy value, Wright is looking to maybe be an exception. If you at all need help at tight end then Wright might be your solution. (about 15% owned)
Recommendation: Should be added in deeper leagues

Defense/Special Teams

Tennessee TEN | DEF

The Titans defense hasn’t been amazing this year, but with a matchup against the Jags week 10 they are certainly worth a look as a pickup and play. The Jags offense will be without Blackmon, so a bad offense just got even worse. Look for the Titans to force some turnovers and maybe even find the end zone on the defensive side of the ball week 10. (about 60% owned)
Recommendation: Worth a look as a pickup and play
