Must Add in all Formats:
Darren Sproles
If for some reason he is still available in your league stop reading now and go pick him up. (about 82% owned)
Leon Washington
Why is he not owned in more leagues? He had a solid first game and was about a foot from scoring his first TD of the season. (about 64% owned)
Tim Hightower
This is not a typo, Hightower had 12 receptions in Week 1. He only ran for 15 yards on 8 carries but at the end of the day he had 20 touches. If Hightower is still available in your league you should snag him now. (about 74% owned)
Carnell Williams
Williams ended Week 1 with 97 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. We expect Williams to get about 10-15 carries a week which should be enough to make him a nice addition to your fantasy team. (about 55% owned)
Fred Jackson
Jackson had a huge game Monday night with 140 total yards and a TD. He is going to be the featured back for 2 more weeks and could play a big role even when Lynch comes back. Pick Jackson up now if he is still available and at least use him until Lynch comes back. (about 65% owned)
Must Add in Deeper Leagues:
Davone Bess
Bess had 7 catches for 57 yards on Sunday and is a must add in deeper PPR leagues. Bess ended last year strong and he has picked up right where he left off. (about 6% owned)
Jamaal Charles
Larry Johnson continues to show signs of slowing down and there is a chance Charles could end up winning the job before the end of the season. Charles is a good receiver out of the backfield and he returns kicks. He had 4 catches for 29 yards on Sunday but only had 8 rushing yards. (about 14% owned)
Earl Bennett
A must add in deeper leagues, Bennett proved that he is going to be a big part of the Bears offense. He had 7 catches for 66 yards and we expect great things from Bennett this year. (about 30% owned)
Mark Sanchez
Sanchez surprised a lot of people week 1 throwing for 272 yards and a TD. He is still only a bench player in 1 QB leagues but he is a must add in 2 QB leagues. (about 24% owned)
Seattle
Seattle was one of the best defenses in ’07 and it looks like they might be primed for a bounce back year. They shut out the Rams on Sunday and added a fumble recovery and 3 sacks. If you are unhappy with your defense you might want to pick up Seattle. (about 15% owned)
Dustin Keller
Rookie quarterbacks love their TE’s and that showed on Sunday. Keller had 4 catches for 94 yards. If you are looking for a TE you might want to pick up Keller. (about 75% owned)
Watch List:
Steve Smith
Smith proved everyone’s theory that he would be a possession receiver for the Giants. He had 6 catches for 80 yards and it looks like he is going to be targeted a lot this season. He could be worth adding in deep PPR leagues. (about 25% owned)
Mike Bell
Bell played very well on Sunday filling in for the injured Pierre Thomas. He ran for 143 yards, but he did have a lost fumble. Bell is making a case for some carries even when Thomas comes back, but we wouldn’t pick up Bell just yet. He should only be owned in the deepest of leagues or by worried Pierre Thomas owners. (owned in about 15%)
Justin Gage
Gage has all the potential in the world but we don’t like him that much as a fantasy WR. If you have a free roster spot he is worth an add in deeper leagues, but expect him to be very inconsistent. Tennessee is a run first, defensive team and when they get a lead they like to slow things down and manage the clock. (about 40% owned)
Ricky Williams
Williams had 58 yards and a TD on 9 total touches. Expect about 10-15 touches a game from Williams which could give him some value in deeper leagues. (about 45% owned)
Laurent Robinson
Robinson had a productive game on Sunday, catching 5 passes for 87 yards. The Rams offense looked pretty bad but look for Robinson to get a lot of looks. He might be worth adding for some bench WR depth. (about 3% owned)
Devery Henderson
The Saints love to spread the ball around so look for Henderson to be inconsistent. He will have more games like this but he will also have a lot of terrible games as well. (about 23% owned)
Nate Burleson
A great start for the season for Burleson, but we wouldn’t run and pick him up just yet. He hasn’t had a fantasy worthy season since 2004, so I need one more good game out of him before I think he should be picked up. (about 30% owned)
Mewelde Moore
Moore ended up with more carries than Mendenhall in week 1. He also had 4 catches for 28 yards. He is only worth keeping an eye on at this point, but he is a must add if he jumps in front of Mendenhall on the depth charts. (about 5% owned)
Pierre Garcon
The Colts will more than likely sign a veteran WR to fill the void left by Gonzalez but for now it looks like Garcon is the starter. If you are feeling lucky you might want to take a chance on him but I would wait and see what develops. (about 1% owned)
Michael Bush
Bush had a solid week 1, getting about 40% of the carries. When Fargas comes back there could be less carries to go around, but Bush looked good. He might be worth a roster spot in deep leagues. (about 13% owned)
Patrick Crayton
Crayton started off the ’09 season with a huge game. He had 4 catches for 135 yards and a TD, but we wouldn’t run to the computer to pick him up just yet. Crayton has always been an inconsistent WR and we aren’t sold that he is worth picking up. (about 60% owned)
